St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the gospel daily. Use words when necessary.” My words have always been quick out of my mouth and my actions have always been far behind my so called Christian beliefs. St. Francis had it right that our actions so should show the love of Christ to the world. Unfortunately our words, including mine have been very condemning. Why would the world take Christians serious, when our words and actions do not meet up with our beliefs.
Gandhi said, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” When are we the church, the body of Christ, going to act and love like Him? When are we going to get out of the pews and step outside the walls and be Christ with skin on?
Actions speak louder than words. The words we are yelling so loud can not be heard because the silence of our actions are deafening. LIVE OUT LOUD by your actions and not your words.
