Feeling worthless over another lost day
How long will this suffering stay
Some think I’m a con
I just want this to be gone
They say it us all in my head
There is not even comfort here in my bed
My hair hurts it even tingles
My phone is silenced because I cannot stand the jingles
Oh that they could understand the pain
Oh God how can this be for Your gain
No light of day only darkness and shade
Surgeries yes but no cure under the blade
Today I am lost in the pain
Lord God you alone reign
From this dark and lonely place
Please God show me your healing grace
Ted Goodwin is a speaker and author of the book “Lessons from a Headache.” In June of 2009 Ted was diagnosed with a “chronic daily migraine” headache. Despite constant pain since the headache began, Ted has not allowed it to stop him from living life to the full. He lives a life that is active, rewarding and full of joy. He diligently trained for and completed his first marathon in September 2010, despite the migraine.
Ugh. I can relate. I made the mistake of wearing a shirt with a high neckline today, which is of course triggering a migraine. Five more hours til I can go home and sleep…
It is kind of scary the things that might trigger an attack.
