SHOT DAY went a little different for a change. And it was a good change. The allergy shots I receive every Wednesday(Shot Day) always trigger a spike in the headache and I’m normally done for the day. This time that changed along with a few of other things.
The first change I noticed was after the shot in my right arm it burned like the nurse injected acid. The burning sensation lasted for 5 minutes it felt like my arm was going to melt off. After the usual twenty minute wait to see if there is a reaction the nurse came back into the room and discovered NO red marks, No raised skin, NOTHING. There was no reaction on my skin for the first time since the shots began.
Then here is the BIG change, NO SPIKE in the headache. Yes, I still dealt with the normal pain but no spike. This has never happened before and I’m hoping that we might have turned the corner. This may be a sign that the allergy serum is starting to work and headache relief might not be far behind.
I’m very thankful that I fianlly got to take advantage of my day off and got to take the day off, instead of spending the entire day laying in a darker room suffering.
