Sometimes in life you reach a point where there is only two choices, stay there and die, or make the best of it. We have all heard the saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” What if you don’t like lemonade? What if you know there is more to this life than just an existence. You have dreams deep in your heart for more than the sour taste of lemons.
Sugar is what makes the lemonade tolerable. What if life has not given you sugar? What then? Do we go through the rest of our lives with a sour outlook and a bitter heart?
If this existence is not your drink of choice, switch drinks. Move to an orange grove. Don’t be passive hoping for your ship to come in…SWIM!
We have a third choice…FIGHT! Fight for a better life. And I’m not talking just about better stuff. I’m also talking about family, relationships and peace in your heart. Because when we truly find what is important in life, it’s not the things. I know folks who have everything you could possibly want as far material possessions, yet their relationships are empty and they are miserable. They have made lemonade and it’s sour.
Don’t keep squeezing lemons hoping for orange juice. Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” When will the bitter taste be too much? Is it time for a change?
