One jolt after another
Pain surging through every fiber
Joint and bone agonize
Hair standing on end
Muscles curl and hide
Thrashing back and forth
The pain hits again and again
Never ceasing its onslaught
Like an earthquake that will never end
Its only job to raze my body
Shock waves pound like the raging sea
My only defense to roll with each punch
Curled like an armadillo waiting to run free
Will this assault never end
What else can be taken from me
Life has been plundered
There is nothing left to take
I pray to be lifted up
To soar above
Flying high and free
To be made new
Protected and covered
Never to be shaken again
Let the winds come
I want to breathe!
Did you write this for me? It’s exactly how I feel. Just say yes to appease me!!! I’m just kidding. I love it. Bravo!
I have had a rough two days with migraine. Writing always seems to help with the pain. I’m not glad you can relate but thank you.
