How we love comes in may different forms. Holding hands, a hug, a kiss, the gifts we give or the time we spend with each other. I had the honor of delivering flowers and candy on Valentine’s Day for a florist. Even though the temperatures were in the single digits the warmth of love was burning strong. Each ring of a door bell brought a range of emotions. Joy, surprise, shock, excitement and even irritation. Yes, irritation. I had one person upset that their “love” would waste money on them. For me just knowing that someone cared enough to think of me is just a reason to be happy and thankful.
This got me to thinking, “do I show love to others?” Do I take the time to love people that cross my path everyday? Do I smile and say hello or do I just keep my head down and focus on what I’m trying to do at that moment. How many people am I missing each day to share love with?
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
