We have all heard the phrase ‘dance like no one is looking‘. But being embarrassed is probably one of our biggest fears, and the bigger the stage the worse the embarrassment. Yet in 2 Samuel 6 we read about King David dancing before the Lord…naked or some versions say in his underwear. Well, not only the Lord but all of Jerusalem, as they had gotten the Ark of the Covenant back. His actions were an embarrassment to Michal daughter of Saul who confronted him about his action. David’s response, “I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.”
Are we willing to become undignified for the Lord? Are we willing to get past our own embarrassment to step out in faith? Dance like no one is watching. LIVE OUT LOUD!
