My wife asked me yesterday, “What is your word for the year?” This is a word that we can focus on to stay motivated, positive and propel us towards our goals and dreams that God has for us.
My word for 2023 is PLANS!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
I have goals in my head for things I want to accomplish in our home and on our property and goals for personal, spiritual and relationship growth. But a goal without a plan is just a dream.
So in 2023, my focus will be on laying out the plans and seeking wise counsel to make sure those plans are ordered. You don’t build the roof first. The plan comes first, then the foundation. A good plan is the key for strong foundations that we can build upon.
